Mood board of initial ideas for my music video

 

 
I have created a mood board to represent my vision for my music video including:

• Locations of the seaside, countryside and theme park- all of these locations are places I would love to film in
• My intended colour palette of yellows, oranges, blues, greens, pinks and purples
• Types of shots I will include- like through a camera and through a windscreen.

I also believe that this aesthetic suits that of REO Speedwagon, the singers of the song Live Every Moment which I am considering using.

Initial Ideas

 Having seen the rock genre brief, I am considering a few songs including…

1 ) Live Every Moment by REO Speedwagon

2) Counting Stars by OneRepublic

 

3) Don’t stop believing by Journey 

4) Paradise by Coldplay  

After considering these four songs, I am leaning more towards Live Every Moment and Paradise.

The former has been described as a ‘commentary to the shortness of life’ and I think it would be great fun to film the footage for this video in summer on the beach. It would also greatly reflect the song meaning which is largely about living in the present moment and enjoying life while we are alive.

Similiary, the song Paradise greatly reflects these ideas, and Coldplay has said that it is about a girl who feels lost in the world and so escapes through dreaming. Again, the mis-en-scene of a sunset beach with fast cars driving by will reflect these themes.
